Originally, I am from Spain (hence the name) but I have lived in the UK for over 25 years. The Spanish Sewing Bee was created through friends and family needing curtains, mug coasters and baby play pens for their homes. From this, I thought it would be a great idea to set up my own website to offer people the opportunity to create something they want, that they might not be able to find on the high street.
Handmade products and gifts are much more personal and I like to think they last longer too. If there is something you want or need and I don't have it on my website anywhere, don't worry because I like getting stuck in to any project. I have a community of local people who have chosen the Spanish Sewing Bee for alterations, special or custom gift ideas or for friendly advice. My Design Philosophy
Like I mentioned, in my opinion things that are handmade look great, last longer and are much more personal. From sourcing the right fabric, choosing the best thread and to creating a finished product that you'll love, I make it my aim to hand-make something you can treasure.
If you have seen something on the high street that you like, but want it in a different colour or different style, that's great ... bring the image or design to me and I will work my magic to help create it for you.
